Learn to take food and beverage orders accurately and confidently.
Develop product knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials.
Serve food and beverages in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.
Handle guest queries and requests, escalating issues to a supervisor when necessary.
Learn and practice upselling techniques in a professional manner.
2. Service Operations:
Perform mise-en-place (pre-service preparation): setting up tables, polishing cutlery/glassware, stocking side stations.
Clear tables and reset them efficiently according to hotel standards.
Handle soiled linen and operate the dishwashing area/panorama as per rotation.
Maintain impeccable cleanliness and hygiene in all service areas (restaurant, buffet, bar).
Learn the proper use and maintenance of F&B equipment (espresso machine, beverage dispensers, etc.).
3. Technical Skills & Knowledge:
Master basic food service styles (Plate Service, Buffet Service, Family Style).
Learn fundamentals of bar service: handling glassware, preparing non-alcoholic beverages, basic mixology.
Understand Room Service procedures: order taking, tray/ trolley setup, in-room etiquette.
Gain exposure to banquet service for conferences, weddings, and large events.
Learn cashiering and billing procedures using the Hotel's POS (Point of Sale) system.
Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards (HACCP/FSMS).
4. Teamwork & Professionalism:
Work cooperatively with kitchen stewards, chefs, and other service staff.
Attend daily briefings and training sessions.
Follow hotel grooming, uniform, and punctuality standards meticulously.
Demonstrate a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and resilience during busy periods.
