Job Description

BCCM Hotel Management College is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Faculty member for the Food and Beverage Service Department. The ideal candidate should possess a foundational understanding of Food and Beverage service, with the ability to teach and mentor students in various aspects of food and beverage operations. This position involves delivering both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the fundamentals of food and beverage service, ensuring students gain the essential skills to succeed in the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities:



Teaching and Instruction:

Deliver lectures, demonstrations, and practical training sessions on the basic principles of Food and Beverage service, including table setting, menu knowledge, customer service, and beverage service. Develop and implement course material related to Food and Beverage service, ensuring it is aligned with current industry practices and standards. Teach students the essential service techniques for both formal and informal dining, and guide them on best practices for service etiquette and professionalism.

Practical Training and Mentorship:

Supervise students during practical training sessions, ensuring they develop their skills in serving food and beverages, interacting with guests, and maintaining high levels of cleanliness and safety in the dining area. Guide students through role-playing exercises, group activities, and live simulations to develop their confidence and competency in real-world F&B service scenarios. Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to students to help them improve their skills and understanding of F&B operations.

Industry Collaboration and Trends:

Stay updated with industry trends in food and beverage service, incorporating new techniques, trends, and innovations into the curriculum. Encourage students to participate in industry-related events, workshops, and internships to gain practical exposure and build industry connections. Foster relationships with industry professionals to facilitate guest lectures, workshops, and collaborative events.

Research and Development:

Contribute to curriculum development and review, ensuring that course content remains relevant to the ever-evolving hospitality industry. Assist in developing and refining training techniques to better equip students with real-world skills and knowledge.

Qualifications and Experience:



Educational Qualifications:

Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field from a recognized institution. Additional certifications in Food and Beverage Service or related areas will be an added advantage.

Professional Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in Food and Beverage Service roles, with knowledge of basic service techniques, customer service, and restaurant operations. Previous teaching or mentoring experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Skills and Competencies:

Strong understanding of basic Food and Beverage service operations, including table service, bar operations, and dining room management. Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively teach both theoretical concepts and practical skills in a classroom and training environment. Enthusiasm for teaching and passion for helping students succeed. Knowledge of industry trends and the ability to integrate them into the learning process.

Pay: ?30,000.00 - ?35,000.00 per month
