Create menus:
Design and update menus that are creative, profitable, and appealing to customers.
Operations and Compliance:
Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Set standards
: Develop and implement policies for food preparation, presentation, and service quality.
Control inventory
: Manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, minimizing waste and controlling costs.
Purchase supplies:
Order and manage vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure high-quality ingredients are sourced at competitive prices.
Ensure safety and sanitation:
Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment by ensuring staff follow all health and safety regulations.
Control food quality:
Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of taste, presentation, and flavour.
Financial Management:
Managing budgets, controlling costs for food and beverages, performing inventory, and creating financial reports. Oversee the kitchen's budget, including food costs, labour, and equipment.
Customer Service:
Ensuring that customers have a positive experience and handling any complaints or issues that arise.
Event Planning:
Coordinating and overseeing food and beverage services for special events and banquets.
Engage with customers:
Gather customer feedback and address any concerns or special dietary requests.
Monitor profitability:
Analyse menu item profitability and suggest changes to portion sizes or pricing as needed.
