Budgeting and Cost Control:
Managing the F&B budget, monitoring expenses, and forecasting future financial requirements to maximize revenue and control costs.
Inventory Management:
Planning, sourcing, ordering, and managing the inventory and stock rotation of all food and beverage supplies to minimize waste and ensure adequate stock levels.
Vendor Relations:
Negotiating contracts and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to secure the best quality products at optimal prices.
Operations and Quality Control
Menu Planning and Development:
Collaborating with chefs to design, implement, and update attractive and popular menus, considering seasonal trends and customer demand.
Service Delivery:
Ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all F&B services, from preparation to plating and serving, to guarantee a high standard of quality.
Health and Safety Compliance:
Enforcing all food and safety regulations and hygiene standards (such as HACCP) within the department.
Performance Monitoring:
Tracking the performance of the department and preparing reports for management to assess progress against targets and goals.
Human Resources
Staff Management:
Recruiting, hiring, training, and managing F&B staff, including kitchen and service teams.
Team Leadership and Development:
Motivating staff, creating work schedules, conducting performance reviews, and fostering a positive work environment.
Policy Enforcement:
Developing and implementing company policies and procedures, ensuring all team members adhere to them.
Guest Experience
Guest Satisfaction:
Ensuring all activities are guest-oriented, handling customer complaints and feedback effectively, and striving to exceed guest expectations.
