The F&B Captain is responsible for ensuring excellent guest service and efficient food and beverage operations in the assigned outlet. They lead the service team, coordinate with kitchen staff, and maintain high service standards to provide a positive dining experience for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Guest Service:
Greet guests promptly and courteously, guiding them to their seats.
Present menus, take orders, and ensure accurate food and beverage service.
Address guest concerns and resolve issues promptly.
Upsell menu items and suggestive sell to enhance guest experience.
2. Team Supervision:
Lead, guide, and train junior staff, including waiters and busboys.
Assign tasks and ensure adherence to service standards.
Conduct pre-shift briefings and share relevant information.
3. Order Management:
Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
Monitor food and beverage preparation, presentation, and quality.
Maintain communication with the kitchen for any special requests or dietary needs.
4. Hygiene and Cleanliness:
Ensure the dining area, table setups, and service stations are clean and well-maintained.
Adhere to hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
5. Cash Handling:
Manage guest bills, process payments, and ensure accurate billing.
Maintain cash register and reconcile sales at the end of the shift.
6. Inventory Management:
Monitor stock levels of cutlery, crockery, and other supplies.
Report shortages and coordinate with the store for replenishment.
7. Reporting and Feedback:
Collect and relay guest feedback to management for continuous improvement.
Prepare shift reports and maintain records of sales and guest complaints.
