: VOE - BODY EXTERIOR TRIMQualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering (ABET accredited).

Exp range - 6 to 8yrs

Work Location- Chennai




Expertise in design and manufacturing of foam pads of all rows of seat - Cushion/back/AR/HR foam pads

Deep knowledge of foam tool design, manufacturing process (DFAM) and costing

Create criteria sections confirming to comfort and packaging guidelines.


Coordination with Style team for STO convergence to meet AAR requirement.

Coordinate with JIT Integration and Trim team to define optimum attachment scheme to meet craftsmanship requirements.

Responsible for initiating design solutions by meeting the STLA Design Practice requirements.

Create DVPR/DFMEA for the Seat Foam and align with the supplier/team


Create technical data sheet and RFQs for the new programs and assess new supplier competency


Responsible for supplier and CFT convergence.

CAD Data finalization and release per program milestones.

Co-ordinate TKO sign-off processes and ensure targets are met.


Responsible for quality improvements, weight reduction and cost reduction.


Design support for the virtual validation teams (Impact, Durability and NVH) to meet various test requirements.

Ensure completion of validation and DVP&R signoff as per STLA milestones

Working experience in foam and complete seat designing and development

Good Knowledge in Manufacturing & Assembly feasibility study.

Work experience with International Tier 1 and OEMS.

Good presentation and communication skills.

Project management and leadership skills
