Cloud and Network Services

As Nokia\'s growth engine, we create value for communication service providers and enterprise customers by leading the transition to cloud-native software and as-a-service delivery models. Our inclusive team of dreamers, doers and disruptors push the limits from impossible to possible.

Cloud and Network Services, include the existing Nokia Software business (excluding Mobile Networks network management), Nokia\xe2\x80\x99s enterprise solutions, core network solutions including both voice and packet core, and managed and advanced services from its current Global Services unit. This unit will also act as a delivery channel of certain products from other business groups to enterprise customers. Cloud and Network Services will target growth by leveraging the industry transition to cloud-based delivery, network-as-a-service business models, and software-led value creation



This Job Role is responsible for the coordination, management and execution of proactive and reactive maintenance activities that require a high level of support. This shall ensure that the services provided to customers are continuously available and performing to Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance levels and serving the customer independently directly or through customer interface.

Job Responsibilities & Competencies

Plans and executes technical tasks according to given guidelines, along with existing processes and instructions. Work with the responsibility of responding to customer problems directly or through internal customer interface. Solve technical problems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understanding of SS7 network, GPRS/3G call flow, EPC call flows.
• Hands on experience on Ericsson, Huawei or ZTE Packet Core Elements (SGSN, GGSN, PCRF, CG & DNS).
• Hands on experience on ZTE Netnumen or Huawei U2K, U2020, LMT, etc.
• Maintaining Operation & Configuration of various PACO nodes.
• Understanding of Gb, Gr, Ga, Gi, Gn, Iu-ps, Gx, Gy, Gz, Gom, Esy link configuration.
• Basic configurations & license loading in SGSN/GGSN.
• GPRS National and International Roaming configurations.
• Conceptually aware of the SMTP mail servers, DNS resolution, SAPC, DNS Server.
• Basic understanding of Service Awareness and differentiated charging related concepts.
• Troubleshooting issues related to Gb/Gr/Gn/IUPS & APN resolution.
• Basic Health check analysis of PACO nodes along with their configuration backup.
• Basic UNIX/LINUX knowledge.
• Basic understanding of NFV and Cloud architecture.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Must have:

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or relevant engineering/science fields or relevant work experience.
• Should be able to work independently in shifts.
• Flexible and responsive to changing work patterns and demands.
• Able to work as a member of a team.
• Open approach to solving problems and dealing with new proposals.
• A thorough and methodical approach to work.
• Must be able to work to tight time scales.
• Good team player with self-motivation and experience of working within a multi-cultural environment is essential
• Understanding of SS7 concepts and PS Core Subsystem interfaces & protocols.
• Knowledge of System Administration/Recovery issues.
• Experience with change management and problem management systems.
• Good communication skills..
