Job Description

Operate and maintain flour milling machinery to produce high-quality flour from various grains, ensuring efficiency, safety, and product consistency.

Key Responsibilities

Operate grinding machines or roller mills to process wheat, gram, or other grains into flour Adjust rollers and settings to achieve desired fineness and consistency of the flour Feed grain into the mill's hopper or bin manually or via automated systems Monitor grain flow and unclog spouts using tools like hammers or by adjusting gates Periodically inspect milled product by touch or visual check and recalibrate machinery as needed Clean, lubricate, and maintain milling equipment to ensure smooth operation Weigh grain and flour, calculate service charges, and manage basic customer transactions Dress mill stones when required to maintain grinding efficiency Maintain records of production, maintenance, and quality checks

Skills & Competencies

Knowledge of grain types and their milling characteristics Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Attention to detail for quality control Familiarity with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards

Qualification

Graduate(B.Sc.)

ITI Fitter

Experience of 1-2 years as Milling operator in FMCG industry.
