A Floor Supervisor manages daily operations on the work floor (retail, hospitality, manufacturing, etc.), acting as a link between staff and management to ensure efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction by overseeing tasks, training employees, handling issues, managing inventory, and enforcing policies and safety standards. Key duties involve staff scheduling, performance monitoring, problem-solving, customer service, and maintaining a safe, organized workspace, requiring strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management: Supervise daily activities, coordinate schedules, delegate tasks, and ensure smooth workflow.
Staff Leadership: Train, mentor, motivate, and provide feedback to floor staff; handle discipline and performance issues.
Quality & Standards: Ensure adherence to company policies, operational procedures, and quality/safety regulations.
Customer Service: Address customer complaints, inquiries, and escalations to ensure satisfaction.
Inventory & Stock: Monitor stock levels, manage merchandise displays, and ensure product availability.
Reporting: Communicate team performance, challenges, and operational needs to upper management.
