Job Purpose :

Responsible for performing deburring operations on machined components and conducting Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) to ensure parts meet quality standards before dispatch. The role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

Deburring Operations:

Remove burrs, sharp edges, and excess material from machined parts using hand tools, power tools, or specialized deburring equipment. Ensure smooth surface finish and dimensional accuracy as per engineering drawings.

Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI):

Inspect components for defects, surface finish, and dimensional compliance using gauges, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Verify that parts meet customer specifications and internal quality standards. Document inspection results and maintain records in the prescribed format.

Assembly & Fitting:

Assist in minor fitting or assembly tasks if required during PDI. Ensure proper handling and storage of finished components.

Safety & Compliance:

Follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE during operations. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.

Continuous Improvement:

Report any recurring issues or defects to the supervisor for corrective action. Suggest improvements in deburring and inspection processes for efficiency and quality.

Skills & Qualifications:

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or relevant trade. 1-3 years of experience in deburring, finishing, or quality inspection in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of engineering drawings and tolerances. Proficiency in using hand tools, deburring machines, and measuring instruments. Attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for long periods and handle small components. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
