The Floor Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day activities on the sales floor to ensure smooth operations, excellent customer service, and adherence to store standards. The role involves supervising floor staff, ensuring product availability, maintaining merchandising standards, and supporting Store and Assistant Store Managers in achieving sales and operational goals and strictly adhering to SOPs issued by management.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily floor operations and ensure smooth customer flow.
Monitor and guide sales floor staff to deliver excellent customer service.
Ensure shelves are fully stocked, properly priced, and neatly displayed.
Assist customers with product inquiries and handle basic customer issues.
Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, and discipline on the floor.
Coordinate with inventory and back-store teams for timely replenishment.
Ensure FIFO practices and basic stock rotation are followed.
Identify and report stock shortages, damages, and near-expiry items.
Support implementation of in-store promotions and display changes.
Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards on the shop floor.
Report daily floor issues, sales feedback, and staff concerns to management.
Assist during peak hours, audits, and stock counts as required.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in retail or supermarket operations.
Graduate or higher secondary education preferred.
Basic knowledge of retail operations, merchandising, and customer handling.
Familiarity with POS systems and inventory processes is an advantage.
Good communication and team-handling skills.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
