Core responsibilities

Team and workflow management:

Manage and lead the technical team, providing technical input and support. Direct and schedule technician work to ensure smooth operations. Monitor employee performance and productivity.

Repair and quality control:

Allocate job cards and monitor the progress of repairs across multiple bays. Ensure all repair work meets quality standards and is completed correctly. Conduct final inspections (like PDI) to ensure all jobs are complete before the vehicle is returned. Manage rework when necessary and communicate schedule changes.

Operations and inventory:

Ensure the availability of all necessary parts, spares, and consumables for repairs. Manage inventory and parts department orders. Ensure the shop floor is kept clean and well-maintained.

Customer and insurance relations:

Act as a point of contact for customers on the floor and handle their inquiries. Communicate estimated completion times to service advisors. Coordinate with insurance companies to process repair claims.

Safety and compliance:

Ensure a safe work environment and that safety equipment is available. Uphold aftersales service standards and promote customer satisfaction.
Required skills and qualifications

Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal abilities. Deep understanding of automotive repair and body shop processes. Strong problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills. Ability to work collaboratively and motivate a team.
