Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Retail Sales & Marketing
1. Lead sales floor with a team of 10 or more experienced & new salespersons.
2. Directly engage with walk-in customers of store & negotiate best pricing deal.
3. Up-sell, cross-sell & market deposit schemes & new products of store to existing & new
customers.
4. Ensure high levels of customers satisfaction through excellent service & customer delight.
5. Propose & develop innovative product sales & marketing ideas during festive & off-seasons in consultation with store manager & cluster heads in advance.
6. Ensure weekly/monthly/quarterly sales targets are met by constantly monitoring daily customer walk-ins, daily sales & co-ordinating with store manager & cluster heads responsible for their respective product counters.
7. Ensure minimum non-conversions/return customers through constant supervision of different sales counters using persuasion & motivation techniques to engage with customers most likely to return without sale. The optimum non-conversion ratio as a percentage of total customer walk-in for new store is set 15% while with existing & old store is set at 7.5%.
8. Ensure any on-going marketing & sales campaign is adequately highlighted at store through proper visual display in form of standees, danglers, table standee inside the store. While proper banners, posters, hoardings are displayed outside the store area.
9. Regularly research current market & competition trends in pricing, designs, changes in buyer behavior, competitor schemes & offers as advertised in print, social & digital media, new competitor store opening & new developments at city level.
10. Attend trade-shows, seminars, training & mentoring sessions, competitor stores, exhibitions & expositions to keep abreast of latest developments in retail jewellery market including product display, packaging, VM, lighting & display. Subscribe to industry trade publications & periodicals that carry latest info in market trends & industry developments & share regular periodic key intel amongst team members & senior management.
11. Keep product aging days to a maximum of 100 days. Develop & implement solid strategy to remove inventory over 100 days through regular discount offers & schemes on aged inventory through private & public digital & conventional social mediums to achieve optimum stock turnover ratio.
12. Regularly conduct ATL & BTL activities on a weekly/monthly basis after having researched & explored new customer geographical markets & territories. Develop & implement SOP in co-ordination with Store manager & cluster heads & plan distribution in of such activities in-store or outside store.
13. Develop broker & intermediary channels to constantly bring new business to store through a solid win-win referral program that involves our existing customer acting as our brand ambassadors.
Showroom Operations Management
1. Make team members aware of company's key SOP guidelines in relation to customer service,
best business & sales practice, code of ethics, dress & uniform code & attendance policy.
2. Ensure all cluster heads regularly maintain counter stock copy daily & counter stock
reconciliation sheet on a weekly basis without fail.
3. Ensure daily 10 minute meeting with cluster heads to work out days agenda including urgent
customer order refill, reviewing ongoing marketing campaign progress or any urgent
outstanding issue needing immediate attention.
4. Ensure co-ordination with cluster heads in relation to cluster member leaves & attendance.
Cluster head to advise FM of any impending leaves/absenteeism planned by cluster member
before hand in form of written leave application signed by all remaining cluster members.
5. Ensure excellent product display, layout & lighting arrangement in counter area. Counter well
presented with latest available stock. Ensure wide variety of counter stock-mix is present,
meaning all varieties including weight, design, pattern mix are available.
6. Ensure all cluster heads undertake regular training sessions with respective clusters to
explain monthly deposit schemes, App downloads & conduct customer online google reviews.
7. Floor Manager in co-ordination with cluster heads prepare for weekly meetings with floor/store manager & ensure previous week's data is well prepared in advance either in a well kept register or pre-formatted excel sheet provided by management. Key agenda for weekly meeting related to respective counters are:
Customer walk-ins, conversions, sale figures in weight & value, schemes opened, customer
feedback & review, stock requirements, any staff issues, any ongoing campaign progress
report.
8. Floor Manager to conduct weekly meetings with cluster heads to review customer walk-ins,
sales growth, monthly deposit schemes, counter stock inventory levels, customer orders, staff & customer grievances & general showroom operations related issues.
9. Motivate & inspire cluster heads in dealing with difficult customers, opening of monthly
deposit schemes, handling customer queries & their immediate resolution.
10. Assist SM/senior management in implementation of any existing & new/modified SOP in co-ordination with respective cluster heads regularly without fail.
11. Ensure safety & security of counter stock during festive/busy times of the year. Ensure
guidelines relating to counter entry of new/probationary staff is strictly implemented.
12. Immediately report any missing counter or in-strong room stock if & when detected.
Responsibility of any missing stock (either counter or in-strong room stock) lies jointly &
severally with the cluster leader along with other cluster members.
Commercial & Reporting
1. Coordinate with MD office & senior management in preparation of monthly management
reports including daily customer walk-ins, daily sales performance report, item wise sales
report, expense report, stock level report, monthly deposit schemes report, staff schemes
incentive, staff diamond incentives, etc.
2. Propose names of staff members who have displayed outstanding behaviour in attendance, team-work, schemes opening & highest sales for current/previous month to senior management. Prepare certificate of appreciation & associated gift coupons if any.
3. Prepare monthly, quarterly, half-yearly & annual sales targets category wise & item wise in advance in coordination with MD office & senior management.
4. Prepare monthly, quarterly & annual marketing plan for business unit in coordination &
guidance of MD office.
Training, Coaching & Mentoring
1. Conduct personnel performance appraisals as per company SOP guidelines on
monthly/quarterly/half-yearly/annually basis to assess training needs and build career
paths.
2. Ensure proper mentoring, training & regular formal & informal review of new trainee/
intern on probation inducted to store & assigned to specific counter in co-ordination
with cluster heads.
3. Make team members aware of company's vision & mission, core-values, elaborate on
company's ethics & best business practices, learnings from the past & share &
promote innovation & improvements in daily work processes amongst team
members.

Floor Manager Lateral Hiring: Qualifies with at least 80% of the criteria mentioned:
Minimum 1 years of continuous experience as Cluster head.
Having scored an average of 75% score in atleast 2 half-yearly/yearly performance appraisals
Received at least 4 certificate of appreciation in key performance areas in one year.
Well commended & reviewed by fellow colleagues & customers.
Well recommended by FM/SM/senior management.
Have displayed outstanding leadership & team building skills as an RSO & Cluster head.
Shows keen interest & ambition in future senior roles available with company.
