Job Profile: Floor Manager - Printing & Packaging Industry

1. Job Title:

Floor Manager / Production Floor Manager

Production / Manufacturing

3. Reporting To:

Plant Manager / Production Manager / Operations Head

Duty Tining : 9 AM to 8: 30 PM

4. Key Responsibilities:Production Oversight:

Supervise and coordinate all floor-level production activities. Allocate tasks and shift responsibilities among machine operators and helpers.

Quality Control:

Ensure product quality standards and specifications are consistently met. Work closely with QC/QA teams to manage rejections and corrective actions. Ensure compliance with packaging and printing standards (ISO, GMP, etc.).

Workforce Management:

Lead, train, and manage a team of machine operators, helpers, and technicians. Monitor attendance, discipline, and shift changes. Conduct performance evaluations and suggest training/upskilling needs.

Maintenance Coordination:

Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure machines are serviced and breakdowns are minimized. Maintain logs of machine issues and repairs.

Inventory & Material Handling:

Ensure timely availability of raw materials, inks, and packaging materials on the floor. Minimize wastage and manage scrap effectively.

Health & Safety Compliance:

Enforce safety protocols and use of PPE on the floor. Conduct safety drills and participate in audits.

5. Required Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of printing technologies (flexo, offset, rotogravure, digital, etc.) Sound understanding of packaging materials (films, paperboard, laminates). Leadership and team management. Problem-solving and decision-making. Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. Familiarity with lean manufacturing and 5S practices. Good communication and coordination skills.

6. Educational Qualifications:

10+2 or Bachelors Degree

7. Experience:

5-10 years in production supervision, preferably in the printing or packaging sector.

8. Work Environment:

Factory floor setting with rotational shifts. Requires physical presence, mobility across machines, and occasional handling of materials.

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?20,000.00 per month
