Monitor patient admissions, discharges, and transfers to ensure timely and accurate processing.
Ensure all patient care activities on the floor are carried out as per hospital protocols.
Assist in resolving patient or family concerns promptly and professionally.
Coordinate with nursing and medical teams for smooth delivery of care.
2. Staff Coordination
Prepare and manage daily duty rosters for nursing and support staff.
Ensure adequate staffing coverage on each shift.
Supervise and support nurses, attendants, and housekeeping personnel on the floor.
Facilitate communication between different departments (pharmacy, laboratory, housekeeping, dietary, etc.).
3. Administrative Duties
Maintain and update patient records, reports, and documentation.
Monitor inventory and ensure availability of medical supplies and equipment.
Oversee housekeeping, maintenance, and sanitation standards on the floor.
Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
4. Quality & Compliance
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, accreditation, and safety standards (e.g., NABH/JCI).
Participate in audits, inspections, and quality improvement activities.
Monitor patient feedback and report issues to the Nursing Superintendent or Quality Department.
5. Emergency Support
Coordinate emergency situations (e.g., code blue, fire, disaster) as per hospital protocols.
Ensure proper communication and readiness of the team during emergencies.
