Job Title: Hospital Floor Manager

Job Summary:

The Floor Manager oversees the daily operations of a hospital floor, ensuring coordination between departments, managing staff workflow, maintaining quality patient care, and handling operational issues as they arise. They act as the liaison between nursing, support services, physicians, and administration.

Key Responsibilities:

Staff Supervision:

Oversee nurses, aides, and support staff on the floor. Manage shift assignments, coverage, and breaks. Ensure staff adherence to hospital policies and protocols.

Operational Management:

Monitor cleanliness, equipment functionality, and supply availability. Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and supply chain teams.

Patient Care Coordination:

Ensure timely admissions, discharges, and transfers. Address patient or family concerns promptly. Assist in implementing patient care plans in collaboration with nurses and doctors.

Compliance and Safety:

Ensure all staff adhere to infection control and safety protocols. Conduct regular audits and report any incidents or violations.

Communication:

Serve as a point of contact for interdepartmental communication. Facilitate shift handovers and team briefings.

Reporting and Documentation:

Maintain logs of activities, incidents, and staffing. Report directly to Nursing Managers or Hospital Administration.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Hospital Administration, or a related field. Previous experience in hospital operations or a supervisory role. Knowledge of healthcare regulations and protocols. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
