This eye healthcare facility is planned to be a beacon of charity and goodwill, assuring free medical aid to the less privileged. One of our primary services will be the provision of free cataract surgeries.

By providing these surgeries, we aim to alleviate the heavy eye healthcare cost burden too often place on those least able to bear it. It is our heartfelt endeavour to aid approximately 50,000 -1,00,000 surgeries annually, providing them with a chance to see the world more clearly and live a fuller life.



The

Floor-Manager

is responsible for the smooth day-to-day functioning of assigned hospital floors, ensuring efficient patient flow, coordination between clinical and non-clinical teams, adherence to hospital protocols, and high standards of patient care and service delivery, and upholds the hospital's charitable mission of providing affordable or free eye care to the underprivileged.

Responsibilities



Supervise daily operations of assigned OPD/IPD floors. Ensure smooth patient movement from registration to consultation, investigations, surgery, and discharge. Monitor waiting times and take corrective action to reduce delays. Coordinate with doctors, nurses, optometrists, technicians, counsellors, and support staff. Ensure patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction at all times. Address patient and attendant queries, complaints, and grievances empathetically. Maintain a courteous, compassionate, and service-oriented environment in line with Kalyanam Karoti's mission. Ensure adherence to internal quality standards. Monitor cleanliness, infection control practices, and biomedical waste management. Ensure proper documentation, registers, and records are maintained on the floor. Act as a link between medical staff, administration, and patients. Coordinate with housekeeping, security, pharmacy, and maintenance teams. Escalate operational issues promptly to the Hospital Administrator. Handle emergencies, crowd management, and unexpected situations calmly and efficiently. Ensure compliance with hospital safety and emergency protocols.

Should Possess



Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

Graduate in Hospital Administration, Healthcare, or related field, Minimum 3-5 years of experience in hospital operations, preferably in an eye hospital. Experience in OPD/IPD management and patient services is desirable. Strong leadership and team-management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Patient-centric and compassionate approach. Good problem-solving and decision-making skills. Working knowledge of hospital processes, SOPs, and basic computer applications. Familiarity with charitable or high-volume eye care settings. Ability to work in shifts and manage high patient footfall. Alignment with the values and social mission of Kalyanam Karoti.
