Job Description

The Floor Hostess is the first point of contact for customers in our jewellery showroom. She ensures every guest is greeted warmly, guided comfortably, and attended to by the right sales staff, while maintaining a premium and welcoming showroom atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

Greet all walk-in customers with a warm, professional welcome. Understand customer needs quickly and direct them to the appropriate sales executive or section (gold, diamond, bridal, daily wear, etc.). Maintain a pleasant presence on the showroom floor, proactively checking if customers are comfortable and attended. Manage customer flow during peak hours: waiting lists, seating, token systems, and smooth handover between staff. Offer water/refreshments where applicable and ensure customer comfort (seating, AC, etc.). Assist with explaining basic store processes (billing, repair/returns, exchange, custom orders, etc.). Coordinate closely with the sales, billing, and security teams to ensure seamless customer experience. Support in handling customer queries and minor complaints on the floor; escalate issues to the floor manager when required. Maintain grooming standards and uphold the showroom's brand image at all times. Help maintain the overall tidiness and presentation of the showroom floor (display neatness, chairs, catalogues, brochures). Assist during special promotions, festive seasons, and events (crowd handling, guest coordination, etc.). Keep a basic record of peak hours, footfall patterns, and share feedback with management for service improvement.
Skills and Qualifications

Minimum education: Plus Two / Graduate preferred. Prior experience in hospitality, retail, or front-office roles (jewellery, fashion, hotel, airline, or similar) is an added advantage. Excellent communication skills in English and Malayalam. Pleasant personality with confident and professional body language. Strong customer service mindset and patience while dealing with different customer types. Ability to handle rush hours calmly and coordinate with multiple team members. Good grooming, hygiene, and sense of etiquette suitable for a premium jewellery brand.
