Job duties:
? Ensure vehicles are ready for deployment -- cleaned, fueled, and inspected before every trip.
? Manage driver rosters and trip schedules for both self-drive and chauffeur-driven cars.
? Coordinate with the reservation and billing teams to ensure accurate trip handovers.
? Conduct daily vehicle inspections (tyres, lights, fuel, odometer, documents).
? Schedule and monitor preventive maintenance and servicing with workshops.
? Maintain detailed logs of repairs, maintenance costs, and breakdown reports.
? Handle emergency repairs, towing, and on-road assistance efficiently.
? Ensure all vehicles have valid RC, insurance, PUC, and permits.
? Maintain updated vehicle documentation both in hard and soft copies.
? Coordinate with the RTO or compliance department for renewals and penalties.
? Report any legal or compliance violations immediately.
? Supervise driver discipline, punctuality, and grooming standards.
? Conduct periodic driver training on safety, customer service, and route management.
? Monitor driver performance and address complaints from customers.
? Use GPS tracking systems to monitor vehicle movement and utilization.
? Identify idle vehicles and plan effective redeployment.
? Prepare daily/weekly fleet utilization and fuel reports.
? Analyze operational data and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
? Ensure adherence to company's safety and quality standards.
? Implement safety checks before every dispatch and after return.
? Conduct incident investigations and corrective action reports in case of accidents.
? Promote a culture of safety and accountability among drivers and staff.
Qualification:
Bachelor's degree (preference will be given to degree of business administration, Commerce or Logistics, Transportation management, or related field.)
Proven exposure in car rental industry.
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related data management tools.
Familiarity with Indecab software or similar systems used for duty slip management.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and verification.
Good communication skills to follow up with vendors and branch offices.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Basic understanding of logistics, toll, and parking processes is a plus.
