The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring vehicle movement, ensuring temperature compliance, coordinating drivers, and maintaining smooth operational flow. Strong communication skills, problem-solving ability, and hands-on experience in reefer fleet operations are essential.
Oversee day-to-day operations of the cold chain fleet, including reefer trucks and containers.
Monitor vehicle movement, trip schedules, temperature logs, and route planning.
Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of shipments as per client and operational requirements.
Track reefer temperature performance and coordinate corrective actions when required.
Driver Coordination & Management
Assign drivers, monitor duty hours, and ensure proper trip planning.
Ensure drivers follow safety guidelines, temperature protocols, and operational SOPs.
Address driver issues and escalate operational concerns when necessary.
Maintenance & Compliance
Coordinate with maintenance teams for vehicle servicing, reefer unit checks, and breakdown handling.
Maintain records of periodic maintenance, repairs, and reefer calibrations.
Ensure vehicle compliance with RTO, insurance, permits, fitness certificates, and statutory norms.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain trip sheets, fuel records, temperature records, and vehicle logbooks.
Prepare operational MIS reports, daily movement reports, and fleet performance summaries.
Support billing by providing accurate trip and utilization data.
Vendor & Client Coordination
Coordinate with external vendors for repairs, servicing, and emergency support.
Communicate with clients regarding vehicle status, delivery timelines, and temperature-related updates.
Ensure customer service levels are maintained during transit.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum
3 years of experience
in fleet operations, preferably in cold chain or refrigerated transport.
Strong understanding of reefer trucks, temperature-controlled logistics, trip planning, and route management.
Working knowledge of GPS tracking systems and temperature monitoring tools.
Proficient in MS Excel, email communication, and reporting.
Strong coordination, communication, and follow-up skills.
Ability to work in fast-paced operational environments and handle emergencies.
