to lead, mentor, and streamline our expanding India team.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and driven
Fleet and Dispatch Manager
with a strong background in the Canadian trucking and logistics industry. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in dispatch, safety and compliance, and fleet operations, as well as proven leadership and team management skills. You'll play a critical role in coordinating day-to-day operations, managing teams, aligning with Canadian HQ, and supporting our continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of dispatch, safety & compliance, and IT support teams in India.
Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a high-performance culture.
Ensure operational alignment with Canadian HQ, including process standardization and reporting.
Implement and monitor SOPs, compliance procedures, and performance metrics.
Collaborate with the Canadian team to improve workflow, communication, and service quality.
Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members.
Identify areas for process improvement and drive operational efficiency.
Serve as the primary liaison between Indian operations and Canadian leadership.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in the trucking/logistics industry, with at least 2 years in a leadership/managerial role.
In-depth knowledge of dispatch operations, safety & compliance, and fleet management.
Familiarity with North American (Canadian or US) transportation regulations.
Strong understanding of TMS (Transportation Management Systems) and dispatch software.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to work overlapping hours with Canadian time zones as needed.
Experience managing remote and hybrid teams is a strong asset.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working with or for a North American trucking company.
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business, Transportation, or a related field.
Knowledge of ELDs, driver qualification files, and Canadian compliance standards.
