Job Title: Fitter / Welder

Education: ITI or Diploma or equivalent

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine inspections of mechanical equipment to identify signs of wear, damage, or potential issues. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment, following maintenance schedules and checklists. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical equipment problems and perform necessary repairs or adjustments to ensure proper functionality. Replace worn-out or faulty mechanical components, such as bearings, seals, belts, and motors. Apply lubricants and other maintenance fluids to machinery to reduce friction, wear, and prevent corrosion. Conduct alignment and balancing procedures on rotating equipment to minimize vibration and extend equipment life. Perform testing and operational checks to verify that repaired or maintained equipment meets operational standards. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history. Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance logs and work orders. Keep work areas, maintenance shops, and mechanical spaces clean and organized to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. Properly store and organize spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies to facilitate quick access and minimize downtime. Dispose of waste materials, such as used lubricants and parts, in accordance with environmental regulations and company policies. Ensure that tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and are safe to use. Report any damaged or unsafe tools promptly. Safely operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts or hoists, when moving heavy materials or equipment. Participate in housekeeping training programs to understand the importance of cleanliness, safety, and organization within the workplace. Actively contribute to the identification and implementation of process improvements and efficiency-enhancing measures. Adhering to safety standards and encourage a safety-conscious culture among peers and team members
