Role Summary

The Fitter will be responsible for carrying out mechanical fabrication, fitting, and basic maintenance activities as per drawings, instructions, and supervision, ensuring quality workmanship and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out mechanical fabrication work such as cutting, grinding, drilling, welding support, and fitting of components as per drawings or instructions. Assemble and fit mechanical parts, structures, frames, supports, and equipment as per required specifications. Assist in installation, alignment, and erection of mechanical equipment and structures. Perform basic maintenance and minor repair works under the guidance of senior technicians or supervisors. Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively. Identify defects or misalignments during fabrication and report to the supervisor for corrective action. Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping at the work area. Follow all safety rules, procedures, and PPE requirements while carrying out fabrication and fitting activities.
