Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret mechanical drawings, fabrication sketches, and job instructions. Perform fitting, assembly, alignment, and installation of metal components, structures, or machinery. Cut, drill, grind, and shape materials using hand tools and power tools. Fit and assemble structural steel, plates, channels, angles, and machine parts as per specifications. Ensure precise measurements using tapes, vernier calipers, squares, and other instruments. Support welding and fabrication teams by preparing materials and joints. Conduct routine inspection of parts and verify dimensions before and after fitting. Handle equipment setup and basic adjustments. Maintain tools, equipment, and workbench in proper working condition. Comply with safety standards--use PPE, follow safe operating procedures, and maintain a clean work area. Report material shortages, equipment issues, and job progress to the supervisor.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of mechanical fitting and fabrication processes. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings. Skilled with hand tools, power tools, and measurement instruments. Basic knowledge of welding and machining (added advantage). Good physical stamina and manual dexterity. Problem-solving ability and attention to detail.

Qualifications:

ITI in Fitter / Mechanical Trade (preferred). 2+ years of relevant experience in fabrication, mechanical assembly, or plant maintenance.

Pay: ?20,000.00 - ?25,000.00 per month
