Job Description

:

The Fitter is responsible for fitting, assembling, aligning, and installing steel structures, machinery parts, and ship components as per drawings and specifications, ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion of work.

Qualification: ITI Fitter

Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret fabrication and assembly drawings. Fit, align, and assemble steel plates, sections, frames, and ship components. Carry out tack welding preparation and coordinate with welders. Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments accurately. Ensure dimensional accuracy and proper alignment of components. Perform marking, drilling, grinding, and edge preparation work. Follow shipyard safety procedures and quality standards. Coordinate with supervisors, welders, and inspectors to meet production schedules.
Requirements:

Experience as a Fitter in shipbuilding or heavy fabrication industry. Ability to read basic drawings and use measuring tools. Physically fit to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in shipyard conditions. Knowledge of safety practices in shipyards
