Role Summary

The Fitter will be responsible for installing, assembling, maintaining, repairing, and inspecting mechanical systems and equipment. The role includes reading technical drawings, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring machines operate safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Installation & Assembly

Fit and assemble machine parts, equipment, structures, or components as per drawings. Install mechanical systems, bearings, pipes, valves, and machinery fixtures.

Maintenance & Repairs

Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance. Diagnose mechanical faults and repair or replace defective parts. Ensure proper alignment, lubrication, and testing of machines.

Technical & Documentation

Interpret and work as per technical drawings, blueprints, and SOPs. Maintain maintenance logs and record job completion reports.

Safety & Compliance

Ensure all work is performed as per safety rules, PPE usage, and company policies. Report unsafe conditions or equipment issues immediately.

Skills & Competencies

Mechanical skills and understanding of machines/tools Ability to read mechanical drawings and measurements Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment Problem-solving and troubleshooting ability Good discipline, teamwork, and time management

Qualification & Experience

Education:

ITI Fitter / Diploma in Mechanical / Industrial Training Certificate Preferred.
Experience:

1-5 years in maintenance, fabrication, industrial machine operation, or mechanical fitting.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in workshop/plant environment Ability to work in shifts if required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?12,000.00 - ?18,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
