Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced

Fitter

to join our shipbuilding team. The Fitter will be responsible for assembling, fitting, and installing structural components of ships based on blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of marine fabrication standards, tools, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications. Assemble and install ship components such as bulkheads, decks, frames, brackets, and stiffeners. Align, position, and secure parts using tools such as welding machines, grinders, cutting torches, hammers, and clamps. Perform marking, cutting, grinding, and fitting of metal components to precise tolerances. Use measuring instruments like tapes, calipers, levels, and squares to verify alignment and dimensions. Collaborate with welders, riggers, and other team members to complete fabrication and assembly. Inspect completed assemblies for conformance to specifications and rectify any defects. Adhere to safety guidelines and ensure a clean and hazard-free work environment. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Fitter in a shipyard or heavy fabrication environment. ITI or vocational training in Fitting/Mechanical/Shipbuilding trade preferred.

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?25,000.00 per month
