Job Overview:

We are looking for skilled Mechanical Fitters with strong technical understanding and hands-on assembly experience. The fitter will be responsible for fitting and assembling various mechanical components such as shafts, gearboxes, blower fans, motor housings, and outer body structures (Stainless Steel & Mild Steel). The role requires precision, alignment accuracy, and the ability to work within quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Assemble and fit mechanical systems and components including gearbox, shaft, blower fan, control panel, and metal body structures (SS & MS). Read and interpret mechanical assembly drawings, layout diagrams, and specifications. Ensure accurate alignment, tightening, and clearance adjustments of rotating and static components. Perform drilling, tapping, grinding, and basic metal finishing as required during assembly. Test mechanical movement and performance after assembly and coordinate with the supervisor for inspections. Identify any fitting issues and carry out necessary corrections or adjustments. Maintain tools, equipment, and ensure cleanliness and safety in the workspace.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Fitter Trade Certification (mandatory). Minimum 2+ years of experience in mechanical fitting/assembly work. Strong understanding of mechanical parts, tolerances, and alignments. Ability to read mechanical drawings and follow detailed assembly instructions. Familiarity with handling power tools and workshop machinery. Experience working with Stainless Steel and MS body fabrication is an added advantage.
