Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics. Measure and mark materials for cutting and shaping. Assemble and fit metal, pipe, or structural components using hand tools, welding equipment, and machinery. Perform fitting tasks such as grinding, drilling, and aligning parts. Inspect and test assembled components to ensure accuracy and quality. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Adhere to safety standards and company policies at all times. Collaborate with engineers, welders, and other team members on various projects. Perform maintenance and repairs on existing installations as required.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or trade certification preferred. Proven experience as a Fitter or in a similar mechanical trade. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and manuals. Strong knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Physical stamina and dexterity to handle heavy tools and materials. Good problem-solving and communication skills. Attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Preferred Experience:

Experience in [specify: mechanical fitting, pipe fitting, structural fitting, etc.] Familiarity with industry safety standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO). Certification in welding or related mechanical trades is a plus.
