Job Responsibilities:

Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment, machinery, and utilities. Carry out fitting, alignment, assembly, dismantling, and re-installation of machine parts. Troubleshoot mechanical problems in pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, compressors, fans, and other rotating equipment. Ensure proper lubrication, tightening, and replacement of worn-out parts to reduce downtime. Work on welding, grinding, drilling, and fabrication as required for maintenance activities. Read and interpret mechanical drawings, sketches, and manuals for repair work. Maintain proper records of maintenance activities and spare parts usage. Adhere to safety standards and ensure safe working practices during maintenance tasks. Support production and utility teams to achieve smooth operations. Provide guidance to junior fitters and helpers when required.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of mechanical fitting, alignment, and assembly techniques. Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and maintaining industrial machinery. Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments. Good problem-solving and team coordination skills. Awareness of safety standards and practices in maintenance work.

Qualification:

ITI in Fitter Trade / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
