Fitter

Your Responsibilities:

Interpret and understand engineering fabrication drawings, welding symbols, and tolerances.

Marking, cutting, grinding, fitting, and assembling tube bundles, dryer housings, support frames, and related structures.

Align and fit tubes, baffles, and flanges as per drawing and maintain correct fit-up clearances.

Perform tack welding and assist welders in the final welding process.

Handle measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Measuring Tape, Spirit Level, and Dial Gauge.

Work with fabrication tools like grinders, gas cutting torches, pipe cutters, hydraulic tube expanders.

Perform dimensional inspection and alignment before handover to QC.

Follow shop floor safety standards and ensure proper use of PPE.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area.

Report any non-conformities or material issues to the supervisor.

Cooperate with welding, machining, and quality control teams during the manufacturing process.

Commissioning and site work for customers on site as and if required.

Your Profile:

You have professional certifications such as ITI Fitter / NCVT Fitter Trade Certificate or equivalent.

You have 8+ years of experience in the Heavy fabrication industry

You can read fabrication and mechanical assembly drawings.

You have Knowledge of Headpiece (Dish ends) to tube sheet fitting, expansion, and alignment.

You have experience in heavy fabrication and fit-up of dryers, pressure vessels, or heat exchangers.

You are Familiarity with welding preparation, root gaps, and fit-up clearances.

You have Basic knowledge of welding processes (TIG/MIG/SMAW).

You have a good understanding of health, safety, and quality standards.
