Job Description

A Fitter is responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems and equipment in industrial, construction, or manufacturing environments. They interpret blueprints, ensure precise alignment of components, and perform repairs to maintain efficient operations. Fitters work with a variety of tools and machinery, ensuring safety standards are met. Their expertise contributes to smooth production processes, reliable equipment performance, and high-quality workmanship across multiple engineering sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret technical drawings and engineering blueprints accurately. Assemble mechanical parts and components according to specifications provided. Inspect, test, and maintain machinery for safe and smooth operations. Perform precision measurements to ensure accurate equipment alignment and fitting. Identify faults, repair defective parts, and replace worn components. Operate hand tools, power tools, and welding machines safely. Collaborate with engineers and technicians to improve assembly efficiency. Follow all workplace safety standards and maintenance regulations strictly.

Skill & Experience

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and fitting techniques. Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings effectively. Skilled in precision measurement and mechanical equipment alignment. Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills under time constraints. Physically fit and capable of handling heavy industrial components. Excellent teamwork, communication, and attention to safety protocols.
