Key Responsibilities:1. Market & Consumer Research- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and product gaps.- Study competitor products, pricing, and performance.- Analyze consumer behavior through surveys, reviews, and focus groups.2. Idea Generation & Concept Development- Collaborate with design, sourcing, and marketing teams to brainstorm new product ideas.- Build concept notes and business cases for new product lines or SKUs.3. Product Design & Specification- Define product features, design specifications, material requirements, and packaging concepts.- Work closely with design or tech teams for mockups, prototypes, and product samples.4. Vendor Coordination & Sourcing- Identify and evaluate potential vendors/manufacturers.- Coordinate sample development, quality testing, and cost negotiations.- Align with sourcing and supply chain for MOQ, lead time, and production planning.5. Product Testing & Quality Assurance- Oversee product trials and testing (especially critical in baby care, toys, apparel).- Ensure safety compliance, certifications, and FirstCry quality benchmarks.6. Commercialization & Go-to-Market- Work with category managers to finalize pricing, margin, and GTM strategy.- Collaborate with content, packaging, and marketing teams for launch readiness.- Coordinate with warehouse for product codes, barcodes, and launch stock-in.7. Performance Tracking- Post-launch, monitor product performance (sales, returns, reviews).- Identify early signs of success or failure and recommend changes (e.g., packaging, pricing, design tweaks).Key Skills & Competencies:- Strong understanding of consumer product lifecycle.- Data-driven mindset with strong research and analytical skills.- Eye for design, trends, and detail.- Vendor management and negotiation skills.- Basic knowledge of product safety regulations (BIS, ASTM, etc.).- Cross-functional collaboration (design, sourcing, QC, marketing).
