Schneider Electric - Power Products is looking for a dynamic and charismatic leader driven by passion, and results for a new key team in our Bangalore site.
He/she will play a central role in our organization managing a team of Highly skilled Firmware engineers, ensuring the achievements of our business targets in terms of Quality, TTM, Innovation, profitability and at the same time contributing to the competence strategy set-up and deployment.
Direct experience in product development is essential and background in Agile methodology is a strong plus.
Responsibilities:
Business Targets Enablement:
xc3xbc Support the competency set-up strategy (in terms of size, geography & skills) and take the accountability for the deployment
xc3xbc Understand the competency needs and plan the resource allocation into Agile Teams accordingly (including engagement of external partners)
xc3xbc Ensure the high quality of the job done and the TTM targets providing regularly coaching to people in his/her team.
xc3xbc Identify, alert, and escalate risks when needed
xc3xbc Strong contribution in ensuring the adherence to disciplinary policies, procedures like coding rules, reviews, integration, sanity verification and release activities within team
xc3xbc Guide and mentor design team, support peers in technical challenges and process hurdles

Basic / Core skills:
xc3xbc Having good achievements in academics and holding minimum qualification of bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Computer engineering
xc3xbc Overall, 20 years of experience in Firmware development
xc3xbc Minimum 8 years of experience in Firmware design and development
xc3xbc Minimum 5 years of experience in multithreaded application development
xc3xbc Minimum 3 years of experience in architect/designing time/safety critical systems, complex product development
xc3xbc Strong knowledge on micro controllers, processors, and its core peripherals for best customization of power and performance
xc3xbc Experience in working with multi-process hardware and software platforms
xc3xbc Strong expertise in embedded C, C++ development; Experience in developing generic and portable software components
xc3xbc Good Knowledge of wireless communication (ZIGBEE, BLE)
xc3xbc Good knowledge on LPWAN (LORA, LTE-M, NB-IOT)
xc3xbc Experience in working on Protocols used for connecting to cloud servers like STOMP, MQTT
xc3xbc Having experience in socket programming
xc3xbc Exposure to communication protocols like Modbus, CAN, IEC61850 or similar
xc3xbc Exposure to TCP/IP suite and protocols like SNTP, SMTP, FTP, etc. And exposure to network redundancy protocols like RSTP
xc3xbc Exposure to HTTP, RESTful API
xc3xbc Passion and Experience in product life cycle management (Development, Adaptation, Maintenance, Obsolescence)
xc3xbc Passion and Experience in complex multi-domain product development (Hardware, Firmware, Testing, Certification, Safety-Quality reviews, project gates, etc)
xc3xbc Experienced with knowledge transfer process
xc3xbc Experience in mentoring team of technical staffs from multiple projects and/or multi-site projects
xc3xbc Experience in using static code analysis tools, unit testing tools, integration testing tools, binary analysis tools (klocwork, lint, gtest, vector-cast, Etc)
xc3xbc Experience in using configuration management tools like Git, Subversion, etc
xc3xbc Good Knowledge on Cybersecurity process
Soft skills:
xc3xbc Good communication skills already experienced with multi-site and multi-cultural teams
