About the Role
Were looking for a dynamic team player who is driven by results and passionate about industrial electronic products and respective test deliveries. He/She will be working on a range of electricity metering offers with communications, Input/Output capabilities, and more. Direct experience firmware development C/C++, exposure to DevOps, Build System, shell scripting, batch scripting is important and some background in the Agile process is a plus.
The position is called Firmware, Senior Design Engineer and will be working in our Advanced Metering business unit, based at Bangalore, and reporting to the General Manager.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
\xc2\xb7 Good knowledge in embedded C/C++, Assembly/In-line Assembly, MATLAB, IAR, RTOS, and Communication: TCP/IP, MODBUS, SPI, I2C, RS-485
\xc2\xb7 Good experience in all aspects of firmware/software engineering design requirements, specifications, initial designing, coding, debugging, and unit testing etc.
\xc2\xb7 Hands-on experience in python for firmware test automation
\xc2\xb7 Hands-on experience of source code control, bug tracking and embedded firmware development best practices
\xc2\xb7 Experience with any debugging tool
\xc2\xb7 Hands-on experience of build systems, Linux shell scripting, batch scripting. Exposure to DevOps is added advantage.
\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of designing and developing interrupt-driven applications using real time operation systems.
\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of networking environment and protocols (TCP/IP, SNMP)
\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of Intel micro-controller architectures

Excellent problem-solving skills, technical passion and drive
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to trouble-shoot and debug issues and customer problems is a big bonus
Qualifications
B.E/B.Tech EEE/ECE or equivalent
Overall 5 -10 years of hands-on embedded system firmware or software development experience
Good exposure in customer issues troubleshooting and debugging knowldge
