Summary:

UST is looking for a

Firmware Integration Engineer (Validation)

role in Bangalore.

The Opportunity:

In this role, you will be responsible for integrating, validating, and maintaining server firmware builds with a strong focus on IFWI structure and dependencies. You will manage firmware packaging, signing, and release promotion pipelines, while collaborating with cross-functional teams including PMs, validation, and partner teams. The role demands expertise in firmware systems, automation pipelines, and CI/CD tools, along with excellent communication and documentation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Understand server firmware architecture and integration requirements. Work with IFWI (Integrated Firmware Image) structure and component dependencies. Manage firmware packaging, signing, and promotion pipelines. Collaborate with PMs, validation, and partner teams for seamless integration and delivery. Maintain dashboards, release notes, and escalation summaries for tracking and reporting. Leverage tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO), Git, and CI/CD systems for automation. Troubleshoot firmware integration issues and drive root cause analysis. Ensure timely validation and promotion of firmware builds.

What you need:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Electronics / Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience in firmware integration or validation. Strong knowledge of server and firmware background. Expertise in IFWI structure and dependencies. Hands-on experience with firmware packaging, signing, and pipelines. Familiarity with ADO (Azure DevOps), Git, and CI/CD tools. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Required Skills:

Firmware integration and validation. IFWI structure and component dependency management. Firmware packaging and signing processes. Azure DevOps (ADO), Git, CI/CD systems. Strong reporting and documentation (dashboards, release notes, escalation summaries).

Desired Skills:

Experience with server firmware ecosystems. Knowledge of debugging firmware build and validation issues. Ability to work independently and collaborate across global teams.

Qualification:

B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, or related discipline. 5+ years of relevant work experience in firmware engineering.
