Tasks/ ResponsibilitiesDevelopment/adaptation of software components in the field of "Embedded Linux and connectivity" in compliance with the established software development process Creation of SW specifications and architecture documents Coding and documentation of modules/SW components Carrying out and documenting unit/module tests Participation in code and specification reviews Integrate/test the modules/components into the overall system Creation of test specifications for integration/laboratory tests Participation in the selection of SW components


Requirements profile
ExpertiseCompleted degree in Computer science, Electronics, electrical engineering or comparable training. 3+ years of proven experience in the field of software engineering based on established software development processes. Knowledge of common communication interfaces/protocols is a plus. Knowledge of fieldbus protocols, especially CAN is a plus. 3+ years of proven experience in programming C++. Knowledge of JavaScript and embedded web development is a plus. Knowledge of databases (SQLite). 3+ years of proven experience in "Embedded Linux" and associated production environments. Product & solution cyber security experience is a plus. Very good knowledge of spoken and written English. Excellent knowledge of SW version management tools (preferably GIT and GitLab). Knowledge of agile methods and DevOps mindset including continuous integration. Knowledge of advanced requirements engineering, expert knowledge in Design concepts.


Personal and social skillsStructured and independent way of working. Openness, ability to work in a team. High degree of independence and result orientation. High level of commitment and flexibility. Good English language skills mandatory.

InterfacesInterfaces to all other specialist departments in development. Interfaces to production, service, quality and purchasing. Technical contact for component manufacturers and suppliers as well as external certification and measurement institutes.
