Job Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled
Firmware Architect
with strong expertise in embedded systems and networking to lead the architecture and development of next-generation network gateway switches. This role involves system-level design, embedded firmware development, and cross-functional collaboration from concept to commercial deployment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead
system and software architecture
design for network gateway switches.
Define system requirements, perform feasibility studies, and create architectural documentation.
Design and develop embedded firmware for
TCP/IP, UDP, IPv6
, and proprietary protocols.
Select and evaluate
MCUs, SoCs, processors
, and hardware platforms.
Collaborate with hardware teams to ensure seamless hardware-software integration.
Optimize
performance, power usage, memory, and stability
.
Provide
technical leadership
and mentor junior engineers.
Manage the full
SDLC
: coding, testing, debugging, and post-production support.
Ensure compliance with security standards (e.g.,
TLS/SSL
).
Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve product quality.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's/Master's in
Electrical Engineering, Computer Science
, or related field.
8+ years
of hands-on experience in embedded system design and architecture.
Strong in
C/C++
, embedded Linux, and
RTOS
(e.g., FreeRTOS).
Deep knowledge of
TCP/IP, UDP, IPv6
, and network stacks like
lwIP
or
FreeRTOS+TCP
.
Familiarity with Ethernet, SPI, I2C, UART, CAN; ability to read schematics and datasheets.
Excellent understanding of
OS concepts, algorithms, and design patterns
.
Experience with debugging tools:
JTAG/SWD
, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers.
Proficiency with
Git
and SDLC processes.
Strong communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
