A Fireman is responsible for responding to fire emergencies, rescuing people and property from dangerous situations, and ensuring public safety. The role involves firefighting, emergency response, rescue operations, and preventive fire safety measures.
Key Responsibilities
Respond immediately to fire alarms and emergency calls
Extinguish fires using appropriate firefighting equipment and techniques
Rescue people, animals, and property from fire and hazardous situations
Provide first aid and basic life support to injured persons
Operate and maintain firefighting vehicles, pumps, hoses, and other equipment
Conduct fire safety inspections and identify potential fire hazards
Educate the public and staff on fire prevention and safety practices
Participate in fire drills and emergency preparedness programs
Maintain physical fitness and readiness for emergency response
Prepare reports on fire incidents and rescue operations
Ensure proper maintenance and readiness of firefighting equipment
Required Skills
Knowledge of firefighting methods and safety procedures
Ability to work under pressure and in high-risk environments
Strong physical strength and stamina

Qualifications
Minimum: 10th / 12th pass (as per department requirement)
Mandatory: 6-month Fireman / Fire & Safety course certificate from a recognized institute
