Carry out regular inspection and monitoring of the plant to identify and control fire hazards in production, boiler, utility, warehouse, and storage areas.
Operate and maintain fire-fighting systems such as fire extinguishers, hydrants, hose reels, fire pumps, sprinklers, alarms, and emergency lighting.
Respond promptly to fire emergencies, control incidents, and support safe evacuation procedures.
Coordinate with local fire brigade and emergency services during actual fire incidents and mock drills.
Conduct fire safety training and mock drills for employees and contract workers.
Ensure fire safety compliance related to boilers, DG sets, electrical panels, gas lines, oil storage, and packaging material areas common in food industries.
Keep emergency exits, fire access routes, and safety signage clear and compliant at all times.
Maintain fire safety inspection records, logs, and statutory documents as per Factory Act and fire safety norms.
Support internal and external safety audits and assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions.
Experience & Qualification:
2-3 years of hands-on experience as a Fireman in a manufacturing or food processing industry.
Fireman certificate or recognized fire safety training.
Working knowledge of factory safety rules and fire safety regulations.
Physically fit and able to work in shifts.
