Job Title: Fire Technician

Job Overview

The Fire Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of fire protection systems, including fire alarms, fire suppression systems, extinguishers, and related equipment. This role ensures that all systems are compliant with fire safety regulations and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Installation and Maintenance:

Install and maintain fire protection systems, including fire alarms, sprinklers, extinguishers, and smoke detection systems.

Conduct routine inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire safety equipment to ensure functionality.

Perform repairs on malfunctioning fire systems, identifying and troubleshooting issues promptly.

Compliance and Safety Standards:

Ensure all fire protection equipment is compliant with local, state, and federal safety codes and regulations.

Prepare reports and documentation for compliance audits and inspections.

Emergency Response and Troubleshooting:

Respond to emergency calls for troubleshooting or repairing faulty fire systems.

Assist in emergency preparedness and evacuation drills.

Customer and Client Interaction:

Communicate with clients or facility managers to ensure satisfaction with installed systems and provide ongoing support.

Provide training and guidance to staff or clients on how to use fire protection systems effectively.

Documentation and Record-Keeping:

Maintain accurate records of installations, inspections, repairs, and maintenance schedules.

Complete service logs and submit them for review.

Education: Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in fire protection technology or a related field preferred.

Experience:

At least 2 years of experience in fire protection system installation, maintenance, and repair.

Familiarity with local, state, and national fire codes and safety regulations.

Pay: ₹8,486.29 - ₹31,816.97 per month
