Job Description

Fire Safety Officers are responsible for implementing and monitoring fire safety protocols in a variety of settings.

They ensure that all safety procedures are adhered to in order to minimize risk and ensure the safety of all individuals within their jurisdiction.

Their duties and responsibilities include:

Developing, implementing, and maintaining fire safety policies and procedures Inspecting buildings and facilities for potential fire hazards Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal fire safety regulations Conducting fire drills and fire safety training for staff and building occupants Investigating fire incidents and preparing incident reports Maintaining fire safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers and alarm systems Advising on fire safety measures during the design and construction of new buildings Collaborating with fire departments and other emergency services during emergencies Developing emergency evacuation plans and procedures Keeping abreast of latest fire safety regulations and research
