Ensure the facility is compliant with all local and federal fire codes and regulations.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fire safety legislation and best practices.
Emergency preparedness and response:
Develop and implement comprehensive emergency response and evacuation plans.
Organize and conduct regular fire drills and mock drills.
Lead and coordinate emergency response efforts, including communication with emergency services.
Training and education:
Provide fire safety training to staff and employees.
Educate people on proper use of fire safety equipment and procedures.
Equipment and maintenance:
Oversee the maintenance and readiness of all fire safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers and hydrants.
Conduct regular checks on fire protection systems to ensure they are operational.
Incident management and reporting:
Investigate the causes of fires and accidents, and prepare detailed reports.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, training, and incidents.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety strategies.
