Job Title: Fire protection Engineer
Qualification: Bachelor's degree in mechanical / Fire & Safety Engineering
Experience: 8+ Years.
Location: Trivandrum Airport (Site)

Required skills and qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical / Fire & Safety Engineering (preferred).
• Minimum 7 - 8 years of experience specifically in design and co-ordination of fire protection systems on large scale infrastructure projects. (Aviation is preferable)
• Strong knowledge of design and application of fire detection, alarm, suppression and hydrant systems.
• Experience in preparation and review of fire protection layouts, hydraulic calculations, pump sizing, and equipment selections.
• Familiarity with codes and standards such as NFPA, NBC, TAC Guidelines, FM Global and relevant IS standards.

Roles and responsibilities.

• Ability to interpret system schematics, IFC/Shop drawings, single-line diagrams, and equipment specifications.
• Good understanding of quality and testing requirements such as flow tests, pressure tests, commissioning protocols, fire alarm integration etc.
• Ability to interface with architectural, civil, electrical and ELV teams for routing, zoning and installation coordination.
• Experience participating in fire authority approvals, compliance audits, inspection checklists, and statutory submissions.
• Capable of resolving conflicts between design requirements and site constraints and recommending viable solutions.
• Fair knowledge of cost estimation, material take-offs and BOQ verification related to fire systems.
• Fully familiar with site safety requirements.
• Experience in preparing commissioning documents, O&M manuals, as-built drawings and system handover deliverables
