We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fire Fighting Engineer to join our team in Pune. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire protection systems, ensuring compliance with relevant safety standards and building codes. Strong client management and effective communication skills are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning: Collaborate with project managers to develop and implement fire
protection strategies for construction sites, considering building layout, occupancy, and
potential fire hazards.
Installation Oversight: Supervise the installation and commissioning of fire protection
systems, ensuring adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and local
regulations.
Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections and testing of installed fire systems to ensure
optimal performance and identify areas for improvement.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about current fire safety codes, regulations, and
industry standards. Ensure all systems meet or exceed these requirements.
Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with architects, contractors, building owners, and
regulatory authorities to resolve issues and ensure seamless execution of fire protection
works.
Training & Documentation: Provide training to site staff on the operation and upkeep of fire
systems. Maintain accurate records of designs, installations, inspections, and maintenance.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Address system malfunctions and emergencies promptly.
Oversee repair and maintenance efforts to minimize system downtime.
Budget Management: Assist in preparing project budgets for fire safety systems
s. Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost-saving without compromising quality or safety.
Safety & Risk Management: Enforce safety protocols and risk mitigation measures to
prevent fire incidents and protect personnel and property on-site.
Qualifications:
Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
Skills & Requirements:
In-depth technical knowledge of fire protection systems including alarms, sprinklers,
and suppression systems.
Strong client-facing and communication skills.
Proficient in problem-solving with keen attention to detail.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and system layouts.
Ownership of a two-wheeler is mandatory for commuting to project sites.
