Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fire Assayer to join our Gold Jewellery Manufacturing team. As a fire assayer, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations on the Assay Department.

Key Responsibilities:

Sample Preparation:

Crushing, splitting, and pulverizing gold samples to prepare them for analysis.

Fire Assay Procedure:

Performing the fire assay process, which involves fusing the sample with specific reagents, separating the precious metals, and then determining their quantity.

Documentation and Reporting:

Accurately recording all test results and maintaining detailed records of procedures.

Laboratory Maintenance:

Ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the laboratory, maintaining equipment, and adhering to safety protocols.

Quality Control:

Conducting quality control checks on equipment and procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of results.

Equipment Operation:

Setting up, operating, and troubleshooting laboratory equipment, including furnaces, balances, and other analytical instruments.

Communication and Teamwork:

Collaborating with other team members, communicating findings effectively, and participating in problem-solving
