Job Description

Risk Assessment and Compliance:

Conducting regular fire risk assessments, identifying potential hazards, and ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations and codes.

Policy and Procedure Development:

Creating and implementing fire safety policies and procedures, including emergency response plans and evacuation strategies.

Training and Education:

Developing and delivering fire safety training programs for staff, including fire prevention techniques, emergency procedures, and the use of fire safety equipment.

Inspection and Maintenance:

Inspecting fire detection and suppression systems, ensuring they are properly maintained and functioning, and coordinating repairs when necessary.

Incident Investigation:

Investigating fire incidents and near-misses, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

Emergency Response Coordination:

Coordinating fire drills and emergency evacuation exercises, managing communication with emergency services, and implementing contingency plans.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintaining records of inspections, drills, training sessions, and incident investigations.

Collaboration:

Working with other departments, such as facilities management, security, and human resources, to ensure a coordinated approach to fire safety.

Staying Updated:

Keeping abreast of changes in fire safety regulations, best practices, and new technologies.
