Job Description

Installation:

Install and program fire alarm systems, including control panels, detectors, and notification devices, according to specifications and safety codes.

Maintenance:

Conduct routine maintenance, such as cleaning components, replacing batteries, and testing all system parts to ensure they are fully operational.

Inspection and testing:

Perform regular inspections and tests to verify that all equipment, including smoke detectors, horns, and control panels, is functioning correctly.

Troubleshooting and repair:

Diagnose and resolve system malfunctions, and repair or replace faulty components promptly.

Compliance:

Ensure all systems and work performed meet local, state, and national fire safety codes and regulations.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of all inspections, tests, maintenance activities, and repairs.

Training:

Provide technical guidance and train building occupants on how to use fire alarm systems and what to do in an emergency.
