Based out of our R&D department, you will be part of the newly formed

Digital Platform Engineering

(DPE) team, consisting of skilled Cloud architects, Platform-, DevOps- & Site Reliability engineers. As one of our experienced FinOps Specialist, you will be joining an international Scrum team with dedicated and skilled professionals to help "...build a secure, scalable, observable & automated platform that empowers WSA to build, deploy & operate SW efficiently".

What you will do

Establish frameworks for tracking, allocating, and forecasting cloud costs. Develop policies for reserved instances, savings plans, and rightsizing to achieve cost efficiency. Conduct regular cloud audits to ensure compliance and identify optimization opportunities. Monitor cloud resource utilization to minimize underused or overused instances. Provide actionable cost reports and insights to leadership and engineering teams. Advocate for FinOps principles through training sessions and cross-functional workshops. Partner with engineering, product, and finance teams to align cloud cost goals with organizational priorities. Create predictive models for forecasting future usage and expenses. Present recommendations on cost-saving opportunities to leadership. Engage with providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) for pricing models, support, and optimization tools.

What you bring

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience. 4-6+ years' experience in using cloud cost tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, Apptio). Proven ability to implement governance frameworks for cost allocation and optimization. Experience conducting audits, forecasting, and presenting actionable cost insights. FinOps Certified Practitioner

Technical competencies

Experience in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) cost management and optimization techniques. Understanding of Cloud Billing Models: Pay-as-you-go, reserved instances, spot pricing, savings plans. Experience in Cost Management tools like Apptio, Azure Cost Management Kubecost and others. Proficient in FinOps & Data Visualization tools like Power Bi, MS Excel. Cost analysis and reporting such as chargeback & showback. Experience in cloud tagging policies and auditing. Understand concepts like auto-scaling, containerization, CI/CD Pipelines along with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)- Terraform, Open Tofu.
