New position for FinOps Service Analyst being created in support of Project Activate 11.16 "FinOps" as well as the BAU operations of the newly created FinOps service
This position is a contributor role reporting to the FinOps service owner
FinOps service effectively straddles between the two distinct worlds of tech and finance; with a primary mission of driving the company to be efficient with our commercial-cloud spends while keeping an eye on commercial spend commitment targets
This position is responsible to execute on the objectives supporting Project Activate 11.16 commitments, as well as performing the requisite duties inherent to this new service.
Demonstrable experience required: 5+Yrs
Function and contribute within a globalized team with resources in different areas of the globe through direct and matrix relationships
Clear understanding of FinOps concepts as well as their practical/pragmatic application
Functional understanding of Accounting and Business Finance terms, concepts and language
Familiarity with Azure Cost Management via Azure Portal
Familiarity with cloud cost management tooling example: Apptio Cloudability
Skills / Knowledge / Certifications Desired:
FinOps certification from a recognized program
Development scripting languages: PowerBI, PowerShell, Azure-RM, Python, CURL/BASH etc
Kanban / Spring type agile methodologies and practices
GenAI interest and experience ideally with CoPilot or Azure AI Studio
Creating informative visualizations of complex sets of data to ensure fit-for-use business value
